Dear Hiring Manager,

I am interested in the part-time sales advisor position at the H&M in Downtown, Boston which was advertised in the career section of the H&M website. I am currently senior at [high school]. I have been accepted into a businesscollege, [college], which I will be attending in Fall 2013. Because of my intended major in business, I wish to explore the fashion industry because this is ultimately where I want to work after college.

I have always been highly interested in both fashion and business and so working at a retail job will give me more experience and knowledge in these two fields. I also believe that I will be able to offer H&M many things in this position.
Customer Service: Although I do not have any previous experience in customer service, I believe that the skills I learned at State Street will be more than adequate in this area. I was required to communicate with many coworkers and clients through e-mail as well as phone and this taught me how to be courteous and prompt.
Job Knowledge: As the co-president for a club at school, I am required to be very organized with handling all of the many tasks that must be completed. This would, in turn, help me in handling all the garments and merchandise transactions. Also, being a fast learner will allow me to quickly learn about the responsibilities related to the position.
